The Veterans Administration is a mess. Admittedly, it has improved under the current President, but it still has a very long way to go. Not long ago, employees of the VA could not be fired. Congress had to actually pass a law allowing for the dismissal of VA employees. Just that alone is a scandal in and of itself.
Now, that the VA has the power to dismiss poorly performing VA employees, no one has the guts to actually dismiss anyone in the VA.
The VA needs to be fully reformed in many areas, and we will gives some specifics of badly needed reforms.
